EDGE College Advisory Program (CAP) - Empowering Players. Supporting Families. Navigating the Path to College

CAP is designed to provide players and their families with the essential knowledge and support needed throughout the college recruitment journey.  Led by Jeff Hooker (EDGE Lead College Advisory Director and 30+ years Division 1 Head Coach), our mission is to educate and empower both players and parents about the realities of college athletics, including, time commitments involved in collegiate sports, understanding athletic and academic scholarships, navigating financial aid and college funding options and preparing for the recruitment process at any stage.

Student athletes who haven’t started a program can get up to speed quickly. We refresh all information and make sure all those in need have an avenue for education.   Throughout the year, we will be hosting a College Night and also provide 1 on 1 meetings for players/families wanting a more in-depth discussion about the college process.  We also hold individual team workshops as the teams get older. In those workshops the EDGE staff will work closely with our student athletes to help guide them in letter writing, soccer resume building and school selection. The Colorado EDGE wants to stress that this program is open to all, with or without scholarships we feel it is our obligation to help out in this very difficult process. We can accomplish this by helping your child with financial aid education as well as school selection. This program is not just intended for scholarship athletes.
