Colorado EDGE Soccer Club is excited to announce our acceptance into the newly established ECNL Mountain Regional League beginning in the 2023-2024 season for our U13-U19 Select Girls teams. As we have long sought the best platform regionally and nationally for our female players, it became evident that the ECNL’s long standing reputation for showcasing the top female players aligned with our core principles and values to constantly improve the female athletes’ development environment. We are excited to take this big step forward for our players and compete on the most recognized girl’s soccer platform in the region and nation. Thank you to the ECNL for the acceptance and we look forward to the competition for our athletes and girls teams in the coming years.
Acceptance into the ECNL Regional League was based on exceptional club performances this season in a number of different leagues around the country. Clubs from the NPL, E64, USYS National Leagues, and DPL earned the opportunity to play in the ECNL Regional League in 2023-2024. Beyond the great local and regional competition and college showcasing available in the ECNL Regional League, these clubs also have a potential pathway to earn promotion to the ECNL Club Competition in the future.
The Elite Club National League (ECNL) was founded in 2009 by forward-thinking Directors of Coaching across the country who saw a need for change in and special commitment to improving the daily environment for American elite female youth soccer players. ECNL Regional League (ECNL RL) platform provides quality opposition both regionally in Colorado and Utah, but also on a national stage, giving our girls the best resources and exposure to play. ECNL RL will provide access to league play, National Showcase events, college recruiting, and a National Championship if a team qualifies. Our teams will still compete in the CSA league, but will also represent EDGE on a National level. The ECNL RL runs September - May (U13-U14 Girls) and September - January (U15-U19 Girls) and there will be no conflicts with High School soccer. National Championship occurs in the summer if a team qualifies based on the ECNL RL conference standings.
