Coaching Education
Throughout the year, Colorado EDGE provides on-going coaching education for all of our paid and volunteer coaches. On-field and classroom sessions are provided for all of our coaches to further their education in coaching and is strongly encouraged.

Colorado EDGE also offers all our coaches an online platform for all your coaching curriculum and practice needs! The Coaching Manual is a resource built for soccer coaches who want to improve their understanding of coaching, find real practical sessions which they can use and accelerate the development of their players by creating a first-class soccer learning environment. This is designed for all ages and ability levels so you should have no shortage of ideas and sessions to find for your weekly practices. Our staff is very excited to be able to not only offer you a personal coaching experience through our own Directors, but also this additional coaching resource which we have covered all costs (FREE to you!).
Risk Management – It is the intent of Colorado EDGE (RCE) and CSA to provide a healthy, safe and enjoyable soccer environment for all participants. RCE and Colorado Soccer Association have adopted the US Youth Soccer Kid Safe Program and SafeSport, which is designed to create a safe environment for all players associated with CSA. CSA is committed to providing all support necessary for our club affiliates to implement the program. Please see the CSA Risk Management Policy for more information.
Kid Safe – Coaching Background Check is required by Colorado Soccer Association and all coaches must be cleared to be allowed to coach and be on a team roster. Background checks are processed online through your Coach Account. Please contact your age group Director for more information.
Online Concussion Training Course – Colorado State law requires that coaches assigned to a CSA roster undergo annual concussion/head injury training. In order to fulfill this requirement (and in the best interests of our players), coaches are required to complete the online course. Similar to the background checks, you can complete this training through your Coach Account. Please contact your age group Director for more information.
Injury Report – Coaches, please notify our Athletic Trainer, Nathan Skelton, of any serious RCE player injury or suspected concussion causing the player to miss practice or game time. An injury report needs to be completed by the coach or team manager and returned to the club within 48 hours.
