About Colorado EDGE Competitive Soccer

Colorado EDGE is an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation through USYSA, Colorado Soccer Association, and US Club Soccer. Competitive soccer is available for players starting in the 11 and Under age group.

  • 11U – 14U: The programs for these age groups are a full-year commitment. During the year-long season, they will play 16-18 league games that are split between Fall (August – November) and Spring (February – May). 13U - 14U Select ECNL RL Boys teams will play in the ECNL Regional League Mountain Conference consisting of 21 league games vs Colorado clubs. In addition to league games, tournaments, both in-state and out-of-state will be attended to maximize each team's playing potential. During the “off-season” players participate in other team activities such as Futsal soccer, tournaments, and club camps/clinics.

  • 15U – 19U: Players in this age group are registered through the same process as the 11U -14U age group. Select ECNL RL Boys teams will play in the ECNL Regional League Mountain Conference consisting of 14 league games versus Colorado clubs. United-Bulldog teams play 8-9 league games during the Spring (March – May) season in the CSA leagues. In addition to league games, tournaments, both in-state and out-of-state, will be attended to maximize each team's playing potential.

  • For 15U players, 8th graders will play both Fall and Spring seasons. Freshman in high school have the option to play for their high school team and/or for their club team during the season in which high school soccer and club soccer play at the same time. Teams may be adjusted accordingly during this season to accommodate for lower roster sizes.

The club provides a free College Advisory Program for any student-athlete interested in continuing their playing in college.

  • College, Adult Teams: Players continue their soccer playing after high school at colleges and local adult teams. Colorado EDGE offers several training and game-playing opportunities throughout the year, including the summer months for those players looking to play.

ECNL Regional League

Colorado EDGE Boys Program joins the newly established ECNL Regional League

Colorado EDGE Soccer Club is excited to announce our Boys' program acceptance into the newly established ECNL Mountain Regional League beginning in the 2023-2024 season for our U13-U19 Select Boys teams. ECNL is a well-established and proven national platform with an ever-growing regional presence providing an exciting and competitive environment that keeps our player development on the forefront. As we look to the future, we are confident that the ECNL Regional League will provide a positive experience for our membership and provide more competition in a premier boys' platform. We thank the ECNL for our acceptance and look forward to our future in the league.

The Elite Club National League (ECNL) Boys was formed in 2017 and the ECNL Regional League (ECNL RL) platform provides competition in Colorado, as well as quality resources and exposure for our boys' teams. ECNL RL will provide access to league play in Colorado, National Showcase events, college recruiting, and postseason Regional and National Championships if a team qualifies.

Acceptance into the ECNL Regional League was based on exceptional club performances over the past years in a number of different leagues around the country. Clubs from the NPL, E64, and USYS National Leagues earned the opportunity to play in the ECNL RL in 2023-2024. Clubs will also have a potential pathway to earn promotion to the ECNL Club Competition in the future.

Our ultimate goal is to make sure we do what is best for our entire membership and in this case, specifically our Select teams moving forward.  We will focus our efforts on the ECNL RL, CSA league play, and additional tournaments and events that will be afforded to us by playing under the nationally recognized ECNL and ECNL RL umbrella. Some key factors in our decision-making to solely play ECNL RL and CSA:

  • The ECNL and ECNL RL have been the leading national youth soccer platform for several years, providing quality resources, National Showcase events, college recruiting, and exposure for both boys and girls teams.

  • The ECNL RL allows for more flexibility in our Select teams' annual calendar to best suit their needs and financial responsibility for out-of-state travel events.

  • The ECNL RL keeps expanding across the country (37 new clubs joined last month which brings the league to over 200 clubs nationwide) and we are confident it will grow more in the mountain region adding in bordering states in the coming years.

  •  ECNL RL provides for a highly competitive playing and player development environment with postseason Regional and National Championships if a team qualifies.

  • Teams will also continue to play in the CSA state league to complement their game schedule throughout the year providing a good balance of competitive games.
